I moved to Zurich from Tehran when I was nine when
my father took a post at the university. I have my
favorite streets, favorite shops, cafes and restaurants.
At christmas the city is awash in light and colour.
Probably the grandest vista at Christmas is the
Bahnhofstrasse, the famous central avenue that runs
from the lake at one end to the Central Station at the
other, with its variety of christmas decorations and
endless showers of tiny white lights strung across the
street.
In what has become a tradition I am going to meet my
cousine Claudio at one of my favorite restaurants any-
where in the world, the Kronenhalle (the Crown Hall)...
