olivetreecon1a1a1a1a1a1a1a1a1I am back home in Sydney and the memories
of the trip to Lugano and Sardegna are just
a warm glow. Everytime I return there, apart
from the sheer enjoyment of it all and seeing
my family again, I find new inspiration, new
ideas to follow up.

Although the food and way of life I have enjoyed in
these weeks were those of Lugano and the Costa
Smeralda, you can live and eat this way in many parts
of the world: in warmer climates for much of the year,
while in colder places it is great for those warm
summer days. Sydney, like many other places in the
world, has an excellent climate for my favorite al
fresco life.
At home in Sydney we have a large pergola attached
to the house so we can live al fresco as often as
possible. Under the pergola are two large outdoor
tables and benches. I like nothing better than to
prepare a Sunday lunch for my family and friends
which can be spread the length of the tables in this
idyllic setting. It is our equivilent to the roof terrace
in Sardegna, the olive tree in Lugano or the walled
garden in Tehran....
