beaches and aqua blue water.
My mother and father had been searching for some
time for a place to build a family holiday house by
the sea. About 30 years ago they fell in love with the
remote rugged coast of the Costa Smeralda and
decided to buy some land and build there. Thus our
house, called ‘Lu Nibaru’ - the Sardegnan word for
the low prostrate juniper that grows in the area - was
born. Lu Nibaru has two matchless virtues - it is
about 50 meters from a small sandy beach and it has a
beautiful roof terrace that looks over the bay of
Liscia di Vacca.
After three decades we have our favorite places, our
everyday rituals, our favorite foods and a group of
locals whom we enjoy seeing year after year. Over the
next week we plan to do all those things and go to all
those places to enjoy al fresco living on the Costa
Smeralda...
