You must try these very addictive and incredibly delicious crackers.
By changing the seed or the spices, you re-invent the crackers every time you make them.
They take no time at all to prepare and in a airtight jar lasts a week ( I think, as mine are all always eaten on the day, so am making them literally every day!!)
For a tray of 45 cm x 30 cm
• preheat the oven 160˚
• 1 cup organic chia seeds
• 2 cups of water
• a little salt and pepper
• half a teaspoon chilli flakes
• mix everything in a bowl until it thickens
• if you find it too thick, add a little more water
• spread the chia mixture onto an oven tray, covered in grease proof paper
• now for the seed mixture, you can choose any seeds you like, this is my suggestion
• activated buckwheat seeds, about 2 tablespoons
• 2 tablespoons linseeds
• 2 tablespoons pepita seeds
• 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
• 2 tablespoons sunflower seeds
• sprinkle the seeds evenly on top of the chia mixture
• add 2 teaspoons of Nigella seeds
• 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
• with your hands or a small rolling pin, gently press the seeds into the chia mixture
• bake in the oven for about 25 minutes
• turn the oven up to 180˚ and bake for an other 10 minutes
• the mixture should feel crisp to the touch
• take it out of the oven and immediately cut into pieces
• let the crackers cool completely on a rack
• store them in an airtight container
