This is my last Post on Kerala. Here are some more images that give you a little more the feel of the place.
A big old building in Cochin, the different paint layers peeling off, giving it a beautiful patina. There was a big court yard with little mounds of limed ginger, drying in the sun.
Men pouring a bucket of limed ginger on the ground.
Inside the women were grading the ginger, the smell was so delicious!
I love the colours on this trough, this is where the lime buckets get washed.
We went to the local laundry in Cochin. The laundry wallers were so busy, washing, hanging out washing, ironing.
Some of the laundry drying.
Notice how they do not use clothe pegs. They twist he washing between the two ropes.
Busily ironing!
This man is using a coal iron.
Wonderful colours.
Colours!
And more colours.
