I went with Clementine and Leonardo to the fish market this morning, and they helped me choose what sea food to prepare for todays lunch!
• we had ‘mangia tutti’
• I dusted them in chick pea flower( as Leonardo is gluten intolerant)
• and quickly fried them in sunflower oil
• they were so crunchy and light!
• we had to have baby octopus, as they are the children’s favourite
• I boiled them in water, a little vinegar and bay leaf, for about 20 minutes
• let them cool in the water
• Leonardo helped me pull apart the legs of the octopus
• we made a very simple dressing of olive oil, lemon, salt and parsley
• these scallops we just dotted with little butter
• salt and pepper and put them under he grill for a few minutes
• I used finger limes
• bend asparagus until they snap
• add salt and oil
• put them for a few minutes on a hot griddle
• et voilá
• I also made a red cabbage salad with Italian parsley (Clementines favourite)
• I think this was a success !
